Back to Explore Habits
Being heard depends on when you enter, how you enter and how you phrase it.
Micro-habits to get started
Small actions of a few minutes to start this habit:
Two contributions prepared
Before going in, write in one sentence each the two things you want to say.
Having ammunition ready removes most of the block.
5 minEnter at the end of someone's sentence
Use the falling intonation instead of waiting for a silence that never comes.
Announce that you're speaking: 'one thing on that'.
1 minDrop the prefixes that undercut
Cut 'this might be silly, but' and 'I just wanted to say' and go straight to the sentence.
Those prefixes tell the group that what follows doesn't matter much.
