Create a new habit with BJ Fogg's Tiny Habits method: make it minuscule, anchor it to an existing routine and celebrate it immediately.

Micro-habits to get started

Small actions of a few minutes to start this habit:

Make it ridiculously small

Shrink the habit you want to build to its smallest version: two push-ups, one deep breath, reading one page.

What takes root is daily repetition, not intensity.

Anchor it to something you already do

Use the formula 'After [existing routine], I will [tiny habit]'. E.g.: after putting the coffee on, two squats.

The existing routine works as an automatic reminder; you don't rely on memory.

Celebrate immediately

Right after completing the habit, make a small victory gesture: a 'yes!', a smile.

Feeling good immediately afterward is what wires the habit into the brain.
